Truth Will Out - Days of Heaven

Image
A young man and his girlfriend pass themselves off as brother and sister in order to trick their employer, a wealthy farmer, out of his fortune, not foreseeing the disaster that will follow. Now there was a famine in the land, and Abram went down to Egypt to live there for a while because the famine was severe. As he was about to enter Egypt, he said to his wife Sarai, “I know what a beautiful woman you are. When the Egyptians see you, they will say, ‘This is his wife.’ Then they will kill me but will let you live. Say you are my sister, so that I will be treated well for your sake and my life will be spared because of you.” But the Lord inflicted serious diseases on Pharaoh and his household because of Abram’s wife Sarai. (Genesis 12:10-13, 17)

Bruce Wayne takes it upon himself to bring justice to Gotham City, but finds himself at odds with his former mentor, Ra's Al Ghul, a man whose methods of dealing with criminality are more extreme. Then Abraham approached (the Lord) and said: “Will you sweep away the righteous with the wicked? What if there are fifty righteous people in the city? Will you really sweep it away and not spare the place for the sake of the fifty righteous people in it? Far be it from you to do such a thing—to kill the righteous with the wicked, treating the righteous and the wicked alike. Far be it from you! Will not the Judge of all the earth do right?” The Lord said, “If I find fifty righteous people in the city of Sodom, I will spare the whole place for their sake.” Genesis 18:23-26

21  “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’  will enter the kingdom of heaven,  but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.   22  Many will say to me on that day,  ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’   23  Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
